Objectives:
Continue to design and revise World Languages curricula and integrated performance assessments to align with national, state, and common core standards using digital content and authentic resources, and create a tiered structure that will support non-leveled courses in grades 6-8.
Continue to provide support to teachers on current research-based strategies to implement a proficiency-based curriculum focused on the goal of effective communication in a second language.
Provide BCPS students with the opportunity to earn the Maryland Seal of Biliteracy award upon graduation by achieving an intermediate high level of language proficiency in two or more languages.
