The Board has announced the names of four finalists for the position of superintendent of Baltimore County Public Schools. The finalists are: Dr. William Heiser, Dr. Penelope Martin-Knox, Dr. Edward Ryans, and Dr. David Sovine.

BCPS staff, students, families, and stakeholders are invited to submit questions for the June 16 Town Hall meeting with the superintendent finalists. While not all submitted questions can be asked during the event, community input will help inform the topics and issues addressed during the town hall.

The book contains 166 of the judges' favorite haiku from this year's contest, selected from the nearly 2,000 entries received from 123 schools, centers, and programs.

BCPS will offer free breakfast and lunch meals for children ages 2-18 beginning June 24 through August 21

On June 17, the Board of Education will hold final interviews for the superintendent candidates. In addition to representatives from the unions, school system-affiliated groups, and students, Ray & Associates will randomly select 15 individual community members to participate. Interested Baltimore County residents may register beginning June 8 through June 15

The Baltimore County Association for Counseling and Development has recognized a new class of outstanding school counselors and a school counselor advocate for the 2025-26 school year. School counselors in BCPS are vital to ensuring the academic progress, personal growth, and overall well-being of our students.
