Chapel Hill Elementary School was one of four Maryland public schools named a 2024 National Blue Ribbon School. With the honor, the Perry Hall-area school becomes the 24th BCPS school since 1994 to earn the National Blue Ribbon designation.

Stephanie Gerhold, an English language development teacher at Woodlawn Middle School and Teacher of the Year for BCPS, has been named one of seven finalists for 2024-2025 Maryland Teacher of the Year. Congratulations to her for this great honor! The 2024-2025 Maryland Teacher of the Year will be announced on Friday, October 4.
