December 2, 2022, Community Update: Update on Enhanced Compensation Package for Team BCPS Employees
Dear Team BCPS Staff:
The purpose of this message is to provide an update on the enhanced compensation package that was announced at the end of September. The enhancements will be implemented this month and details are as follows:
Salary Scale Adjustments
Beginning December 9, 2022, we will begin implementing the new salary scales for all bargaining units on their respective staggered pay dates as follows:
- On December 9, 2022, TABCO, CASE, OPE, and Non-Represented salaried employees will be paid on the new negotiated pay scales.
- On December 16, 2022, AFSCME, ESPBC, and Non-Represented hourly employees will be paid on the new negotiated pay scales.
Retroactive Pay Adjustments
- On December 22, 2022, TABCO, CASE, OPE, and Non-Represented salaried employees will receive their pay adjustment retroactive to July 1, 2022, in accordance with the new FY2023 pay scales.
- On December 29, 2022, AFSCME, ESPBC, and Non-Represented hourly employees will receive their pay adjustment retroactive to July 1, 2022, in accordance with the new FY2023 pay scales.
Top of Pay Scale $2,500 Adjustment
- On December 22, 2022, eligible TABCO, CASE, OPE, and Non-Represented salaried employees at the top of their scale will receive pay adjustments in the amount of $2,500.
- On December 29, 2022, eligible AFSCME, ESPBC, and Non-Represented hourly employees at the top of their scale will receive pay adjustments in the amount of $2,500.
As a reminder, retention bonuses of at least $1,000 for all employees will be paid in the spring of 2023.
