Web Accessibility Notice and Disclaimer

Baltimore County Public Schools believes in providing accessible web content for all individuals. Currently, BCPS is taking steps to update our Web content to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) as proposed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). The school system’s goal is to provide Web content that achieves AA conformance as prescribed by the W3C, while also complying with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.

Baltimore County Public Schools (BCPS) makes every reasonable attempt to ensure that our school system’s Web sites do not contain links to any content that can be deemed in violation of BCPS’ Technology Acceptable Use Policy. Sites and resources created by external partners, including Parent Teacher Associations (PTAs) and Booster organizations, are not under the control of BCPS, therefore BCPS does not take responsibility for the accessibility of the content.

If the format of any content on BCPS Web pages interferes with your ability to access the information, please contact the Department of Communications and Community Outreach by calling 443-809-5908 or by emailing [email protected] to request the content in an alternate format.

Any person who believes that the school system has discriminated against him/her because of a disability and potentially violated Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and/or Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) may file a written grievance with the Baltimore County Public Schools. Once a written grievance is received, the school system will investigate the allegations contained in the written grievance in an effort to reach a prompt and equitable resolution.

At a minimum, the grievance must contain:

  • Your name
  • Your address
  • Your contact information (email and telephone number)
  • The date of the complaint
  • A description of the problem encountered
  • The URL (web address) or location of the problem page
  • Solution desired

The complainant’s signature and the date the grievance is filed. The written grievance must be filed with the Baltimore County Public Schools Equal Employment Opportunity Officer at the following address:

6901 North Charles Street
Building B
