February 11, 2025 Staff and Community Update: Updated 2025 Summer Professional Development Dates for Team BCPS Staff
Dear Colleagues—
BCPS is committed to providing relevant and timely professional learning opportunities for all Team BCPS staff. Comprehensive, engaging and effective professional development is essential to moving our school system forward.
We are pleased to share additional information about the 2025 in-person, summer professional development schedule. This is our investment in our people –providing an opportunity for us to level set as a system and equip all staff with the knowledge, skills, and strategies to best serve our students. Staff are strongly encouraged to attend all applicable professional development sessions this summer. BCPS has committed significant resources to develop collaborative learning environments and opportunities for all staff.
The chart below outlines the systemwide summer development schedule, audience, locations, and registration information. Date changes are highlighted in yellow. In addition, the BCPS Summer Professional Development website will be updated throughout the Spring as additional information becomes available.

**Staff who participate in professional learning on June 23rd will receive early access to BCPS teaching and learning expectations for the 2025-2026 school year as well as planning time to begin integrating new information into their practice. Staff who are unable to attend on June 23rd will access this information during the August 19th, 2025, Systemwide Professional Development Activities in the morning. **Staff who participate in professional learning on June 24th will receive early access to BCPS content expectations for the 2024-2025 school year as well as planning time to begin integrating new information into their practice. Staff who are unable to attend on June 24th will access this information during the August 19th, 2025, Systemwide Professional Development Activities in the afternoon.
