April 3, 2025 Staff and Community Update: A Message from Superintendent Dr. Myriam Rogers
Dear Team BCPS—
Yesterday, the following statement was provided to members of the media in response to the April 1, 2025, Office of the Inspector General for Education (OIGE) report regarding my residency.
“Dr. Rogers is a resident of Baltimore County. Her driver’s license, voter registration and other personal documents reflect this address. Documents provided to the Office of the Inspector General for Education (OIGE) indicate that she completed her move to the county in September 2024 and the Board chair was made aware of the timeline of her move. Her focus remains on serving the 110,000 students of Team BCPS and moving the school system forward.
It is important that you hear directly from me, and it is for that reason that I am sharing the media statement with all members of Team BCPS. I am a Towson resident, and I will remain focused on the important work of the system. I am proud of the progress we have made to improve student outcomes.
