Halethorpe Elementary students participate in project-based economics lesson

Seven grade three students from Halethorpe Elementary School are studying economics in their Social Studies class. These students are participating in project-based learning and have started their own business selling handmade rainbow loom jewelry. The third graders; Christopher Baker, Ethan griffin, I’yanna Nelson, Ryan Long, Brianna Bossom, Dylan Young, and Reeyana Watson, focused on what was needed to run a business. They decided on what to sell, created the product and made advertisements including posters, messages to parents and an original jingle and commercial.

All proceeds from the sold jewelry will go to Johns Hopkins Children's Center.
