Superheroes of Kindness emerge at Kingsville Elementary

Was it a bird?

Was it a plane?

No! It was students of all ages dressed as SUPERHEROES of KINDNESS and filling the halls of Kingsville Elementary School on Wednesday, January 16, 2013.

As part of the school's two year focus on kindness, students were encouraged to create costumes depicting superheroes who would spread kindness to everyone at the school. Manners, kind words, and smiles filled the school during this day-long event.

In addition to this special day, each classroom in Kingsville dons a KINDNESS wreath where students tie ribbons when they are "caught" performing a kind act. Each student also has a KINDNESS KEEPER where he or she records weekly acts of kindness – either given or received and entries are displayed on a "Kindness is Contagious" bulletin board in the school lobby.

At Kingsville, the students, faculty, and staff are striving to be Superheroes of Kindness each and every day.
