Chatsworth School’s Good Neighbor Club promotes citizenship

Students at Chatsworth School show their willingness to help others by joining the Good Neighbor Club. This energetic group is comprised of grade 4 and 5 students.  The club meets monthly and teaches anti-bullying strategies, improves overall school-wide etiquette, and increases awareness of ways to help those in need.

Every day at Chatsworth, Good Neighbor Club members make morning announcements and use computer skills to create publicity posters announcing monthly fundraisers.

Recently, the Good Neighbor Club helped Chatsworth School celebrate Good Neighbor Week. During that week, the children participated in a variety of activities designed to emphasize kindness and friendship. Students read about and discussed the Golden Rule, wrote letters and poems, sent wishes to members of the military and to residents of neighborhood nursing homes, and shared books and compliments with friends.
