Office of Substitutes
The Office of Substitutes, part of the Division of Human Resources, helps make sure our schools are covered when teachers or nurses are absent. We hire substitute nurses and manage the SmartFind Express (SFE) system, which helps schools schedule substitutes efficiently.
We also partner closely with Kelly Education, the organization that hires and manages substitute teachers for BCPS. Together, we work to ensure every classroom has the support it needs, so students can continue learning without interruption.
