Absence Management is part of the Office Absence Management (OAM) and implements strategies to protect and support Baltimore County Public Schools' personnel through the administration of the absence management programs, leaves of absences, and behavioral matters (including fitness for duty and reasonable suspicion).

Absence Management provides resources to employees and supervisors to help them navigate challenging circumstances. We administer Board of Education Policies, Superintendent's Rules, and Compass strategies in accordance with State and federal laws.
