Home Schooling Notification for 2026-27

Maryland's homeschooling regulations state that a parent or guardian who wishes to teach his or her child at home shall
submit the notification form at least 15 days prior to starting home instruction.

 For the 2026-2027 school year, notification forms are accepted for students: 

• born on or before September 1, 2021

• who are under the age of 18

• living in Baltimore County (to verify your address, please check Boundary Finder)

To Provide Notification of Home Schooling:

Complete this form: Home Schooling Notification Form with COMAR rev7.1.25.pdf.

If the student currently attends BCPS, submit the form to the current school of enrollment. 
If the student is not currently enrolled in BCPS, submit the form to the zoned school based upon your address

Additional Option for Home Schooling Notification:
If the student currently attends BCPS, the parent/guardian may submit the notification form through Focus which can be accessed through the BCPS website or Schoology.
