The Office of Physical Education’s mission is to support and advocate for sequential and developmentally appropriate high quality physical education programs that empower all students to value physical activity and become physically literate for a lifetime. Physically literate students (1) develop the motivation and ability to understand, communicate, apply, and analyze various forms of movement, (2) demonstrate a variety of movements competently and confidently across a wide range of physical activities, (3) make healthy active choices that are both beneficial to and respectful of themselves, others, and their
environment.
