Community Partnership
Baltimore County Public Schools values collaboration with organizations that invest time and resources in school success. These collaborations augment staff capacity, enable innovative learning opportunities, and connect students to authentic learning and development through mentoring, volunteering, student work experiences, service learning, and scholarships.
- Community Partner: partners in education that play a significant role in enriching students’ educational experiences. Community partners are usually nonprofit or governmental organizations as community-engaged activities are generally unpaid.
- Service Provider: typically provide services to students in schools, are dependent upon BCPC for referrals and provide the service at no direct cost to the school system. This procedure does not include community partners for group events such as school fairs, where services are provided in a public setting with parents and/or school staff present.
- Vendor: supplier, provider, or a seller, is an enterprise that contributes goods or services for financial gain or profit.
- Volunteer: individuals or groups who contribute their time and expertise to support student success. Volunteers may work in various roles, such as tutoring, mentoring, assisting with administrative tasks, organizing events, fundraising, and more.
