Dear Team BCPS—
Today marks the end of the 2024-25 school year! I want to congratulate all Team BCPS students and staff for another great year of achievement, growth, and collaboration.
Throughout the year, as I visited classrooms and spoke with staff across the county, I saw students fully engaged with the curriculum and collaborating with their peers in innovative and thoughtful ways. The high levels of engagement and achievement were possible thanks to our incredibly talented teachers, administrators, and staff who remained focused on the academic achievement and personal wellbeing of our students. Team BCPS staff demonstrate every day their ability to weather challenges and continue moving forward.
Families, thank you for your continued support of BCPS! Your presence and participation in our schools is invaluable! As a reminder, BCPS is seeking volunteers for the 2025-26 school year! Volunteers help create positive and enriching experiences for BCPS students. Online applications should be submitted by Monday, June 16, to express interest in volunteering. We look forward to growing our team of dedicated volunteers and seeing the difference they make!
Planning for the 2025-26 school year is well underway, and I encourage you to stay connected with BCPS while schools are out as we provide important updates and reminders through the BCPS Summer Connect campaign. Take advantage of our free Summer Meals Program, dive into summer reading, maximize learning at BCPS summer programs, and make plans to join us at BCPSFest 2025 to kick off the new school year.
I wish our students, staff, graduates, and families a summer filled with laughter, new adventures, and continued learning.
