May 9, 2025 Staff Update: A Message from Board Leadership Regarding the FY 2026 Operating Budget
Dear Team BCPS—
Earlier this afternoon, all BCPS staff received an important update regarding the status of the Fiscal Year 2026 Operating Budget. Dr. Rogers continues to work closely with our state and county funding partners to identify solutions to narrow the funding gap. The Board is encouraged by these ongoing efforts. We understand how vitally important it is to offer increased compensation for all our dedicated and talented staff who consistently deliver high-quality instruction and provide comprehensive educational services and supports for students and families. The Board remains steadfast in our commitment to fast forward system progress, even during this challenging fiscal climate. We want to thank Dr. Rogers and her budget team for the ongoing advocacy and work on behalf of Team BCPS’ 110,000 students and 20,000 staff members.
