June 14, 2024 Community Update: Tuition Free Program at Maryland Institutes of Higher Education
The BCPS Tuition Free Program covers tuition, fees, and books for students in 11th and 12th grades who have met College and Career Readiness Standards, as outlined in the Blueprint for Maryland’s Future. In alignment with Blueprint requirements, students who have met College and Career Readiness Standards are eligible to have up to two courses in the Fall semester and two courses in the Spring semester paid for by BCPS. The courses must be credit-bearing, in an approved program of study, or courses leading to industry credentials at CCBC or other public Maryland universities. All courses must be approved through the advisement by the school counselor. The updates to the Tuition Free Program go into effect at the conclusion of the 2023-2024 school year.
Students who have not yet met College and Career Readiness Standards, as outlined in the Blueprint for Maryland’s Future, may take courses at CCBC but are responsible for the cost. Students will pay for the necessary fees, books, and 50% of the tuition cost. For more information on the Tuition Free Program at CCBC, please contact the school counselor.
