Child Nutrition Programs background

Child Nutrition Programs

BCPS participates in federal child nutrition programs that help provide meals to students.

These programs are funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and administered with support from the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE).

Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) Breakfast and Lunch

CEP allows BCPS to provide free breakfast and lunch to all enrolled students without collecting meal benefit applications from families.

All meals follow federal nutrition standards, and are planned for the age and grade levels of the students served.
