CPD Forms
Facilitators of courses built in the BCPS Registration System will not have to submit CPD forms. Instead, facilitators should export and download the event attendance report. Facilitators should send the exported event attendance report to Natasha Romesburg, for processing. Once the CPD forms are processed, employees will receive an email with a copy of the form.
For CPD courses taken outside of BCPS, employees should email the CPD forms they received from their instructor to Natasha Romesburg. Once the CPD form is received and reviewed the CPD Liaison will sign the CPD form, and the employee will be emailed a copy of the CPD form.

Professional Development Points (PDPs)
In April 2024, the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) shifted from teaching certificates to Professional Licenses. Once issued a Professional License, educators must complete an Individual Professional Development Plan (IPDP) outlining goals for professional learning and earn 90 Professional Development Points (PDP) that include a minimum of one PDP in each of the following areas:
- Content or pedagogy related to an area on the educator’s license
- English as a Second Language, Sheltered English, or Bilingual Education
- Strategies for teaching students with disabilities, or differentiated instruction for students with diverse learning needs
- Culturally Responsive Teaching or diverse student identities in education
Systemwide professional learning offered in BCPS may be offered for Professional Development Points provided it is a minimum of one clock hour and aligns to the Standards for Professional Learning. Sponsoring offices determine alignment to SPL to determine PDP. All approved systemwide professional learning will be offered through the web-based registration system, KickUp, and educators should use their transcript as the supporting documentation for the PDPs earned.
School principals interested in offering school-based professional learning for Professional Development Points must complete training on Standards for Professional Learning. Upon successful completion of the training, principals will be issued a Professional Development Point form that can be shared with educators and serve as documentation for the PDPs earned.
For questions specific to your growth chart, re-certification, salary lane advancement, tuition reimbursement, how many credits you have, and which credits/courses will work for your certification please contact the Office of Educator Licensure at [email protected].
