Title IX is a federal law that prohibits sex-based discrmination, including sexual harassment, in educational institutions that receive federal funding. Sex-based discrimination, including sexual harassment, must occur within an educational program or activity to be addressed under Title IX regulations. Any discrimination, including sexual harassment, experienced by a student or employee that occurs within a BCPS education program or activity is subject to BCPS policies, including Title IX and disciplinary actions.
If you believe you, or someone you know has experienced sex-based discrimination, including sexual harassment, at any point or time, including in the cyber environment, we encourage you to reach out to the BCPS Title IX Coordinator to report. Your report may remain anonymous, however, doing so may significantly impact staff's ability to investigate and respond to the allegatons. You may report to your administrator, BCPS Human Resources, and/or the BCPS Title IX Coordinator.

Notice of Nondiscrimination- Title IX
Title IX prohibits discrimination based on sex in education programs and activities that receive federal financial assistance. BCPS does not discriminate on the basis of sex and prohibits sex discrimination in any education program or activity that it operates, as required by Title IX.
To report information about conduct a program or activity operated by BCPS that may constitute sex discrimination or make a complaint of sex discrimination under Title IX, please contact the BCPS Title IX Coordinator. Inquiries about Title IX may also be referred to the U.S. Department of Education's Office for Civil Rights.
