# Pursuant to the authority granted by the Maryland State Board of Education on April 4, 2020, State Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Karen B. Solomon, by letter dated May 6, 2020, approved BCPS’ request to waive five (5) days of the 180-day student instructional requirement for the 2019-2020 school year.

Teacher duty days are contractually limited to 191 days.
