Maryland Technology Standards for School Administrators
The successful use of technology in a K-12 school setting is dependent upon the leadership and vision of the school’s administrators. This website has been designed to provide support to school-based administrators, in the State of Maryland, as they work to effectively integrate technology in teaching and learning in their schools. This site has been developed by the Maryland Online Profiles for Teachers and Administrators Consortium in collaboration with the Maryland State Department of Education and fourteen Maryland school districts through the Enhancing Education Through Technology, Title II-D partnership grant program.
This site contains several important links:
- The Maryland Technology Standards for School Administrators (MTSSA) that were approved by the Maryland State Board of Education and outline six areas of expertise that are needed to successfully use technology in a school setting.
- The Technology Toolkit for Administrators which consists of two parts:
- A toolkit, in chart form, which allows school administrators to determine their level of competency in meeting each of the Maryland Technology Standards for School Administrators.
