Other businesses and organizations also can join the drive by collecting donations from customers, employees, and visitors. July 25 – Aug. 12 – School Supply Drive
Donations will be accepted at BCPS offices, all Baltimore County Public Library branches, Boscov’s at White Marsh, and Office Depots in Baltimore County. In addition, many businesses and their employees are collecting and donating supplies. Click here for more details about locations.
Aug. 1 – 24 -- #Back2BCPS
Students, teachers, alumni, and community members are invited to share via Twitter or Facebook what they like or liked most about school as well as resolutions for the upcoming school year. Families are also encouraged to send in first day of school photos. Please use #Back2BCPS.
Aug. 18 – BCPS Day at Oriole Park at Camden Yards
On this evening, the Orioles will play the Houston Astros, and the event will feature the Randallstown High School Navy ROTC presenting the flag, the Towson High School Gifted and Talented Chamber Choir singing the National Anthem, and Superintendent Dr. S. Dallas Dance throwing the first pitch. Five dollars from every ticket sold will benefit the Education Foundation of BCPS. Tickets ($17- $20) must be purchased via http://www.orioles.com/tix/bcps. Aug. 20 – Back to School at Boscov’s
Boscov’s at White Marsh Mall will host a resource festival from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on its back parking lot. The event will feature the BCPS Parentmobile, the library’s bookmobile, prize drawings, and information tables for area services/institutions and mall businesses.
Aug. 22 – Early Entry Day for students entering Grades 6 and 9
BCPS will host a half-day “Early Entry Day" for students entering Grades 6 and 9 for the 2016–2017 school year. Students will visit their lockers, tour the school, and meet teachers and school counselors. Transportation will be provided for those students who will take buses to middle and high school. A complimentary lunch will be served. Learn more.
Aug. 23 – 5th Annual Kevin Liles for a Better Baltimore Foundation Back-to-School Events
Superintendent Dr. S. Dallas Dance and County Executive Kevin Kamenetz will co-host back-to-school events sponsored by the Kevin Liles for a Better Baltimore Foundation at three locations from 3-7 p.m. The events will feature 3,000 free backpack giveaways (while supplies last) and community resources.
