Celebrating Our 2018 Graduating Seniors

We will be posting a new graduating senior profile each day leading up to May 25, the last day for seniors.

Maxwell Wolf

Patapsco High School & Center for the Arts
(Pine Grove Middle)

Tell us about a teacher, assignment, field trip, or extracurricular activity that had a significant impact on you during your years as a BCPS student?

My theatre teachers, Kelly and Kevin Carlson, have had a huge impact on my high school experience. They have both been there when I needed an adult to talk to or just need some advice, not to mention that they are both excellent directors.

During your years as a BCPS student, what did you accomplish that you are most proud of?

I directed a play called 12 Angry Jurors for my senior project. We were the first senior class to sell out an audience for a show, and we did it twice! It was a great moment to see something that I put together become so successful.

What’s next for you? What are your college or employment plans after graduation?

I'm going to CCBC for two years, then I plan on transferring to a 4 year college to study film acting or film directing. I'm really excited for my future.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

Hopefully happy. I don't know where life will take me, but I hope I'm doing something that will fill me with joy.

Favorite book:

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time by Mark Haddon

Favorite movies:

Forrest Gump or The Godfather

“Maxwell Wolf has been a joy to work with over the last four years and has made significant contributions to the theatre department. He has been involved in every single production at Patapsco since his freshman year, totaling over 20 productions. He has served for two years as treasurer of our International Thespian Honor Society and has served on the student board as a state thespian officer for the Maryland Thespians for the last three years. This year Max has truly shown his leadership talents as a teaching assistant for Acting III and as the student director for the senior class production of 12 Angry Jurors. The production was the first senior play to sell out, not once, but twice and received glowing reviews from audience members.

“We have enjoyed seeing Max grow during his time at Patapsco into an incredibly talented theatre artist. He is an extraordinarily dedicated, positive, kind, passionate and enthusiastic young man. While he will be sorely missed as a member of Patapsco High School and as a member of the theatre department, we cannot wait to see the great things he will accomplish in the future.”

Kelly Carlson, theatre department chair
