Tell us about a teacher, assignment, field trip, or extracurricular activity that had a significant impact on you during your years as a BCPS student?

As a BCPS student, I have two teachers that had a great impact on me. One is our media specialist, Mrs. Goode. She is always there for me when I need someone to talk to or need advice. The second is my English teacher, Ms. Wilkinson. She is a teacher who has always lifted my mood by making me laugh, telling us stories, and recommending to me great books.

`What’s next for you? What are your college or employment plans after graduation?

I will be attending CCBC for two years and transferring to a 4-year college.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

I see myself graduated from college, working, and going back to my home country of Senegal for a while.

Favorite Quote:

“The journey of a lifetime starts with the turning of a page.” Rachel Anders

“Almost every time I saw Khady, her bright eyes were eagerly devouring a book, and she was happy to tell me about each one. Sometimes shy, she wasn’t always the first one to open up, but if you treated her with kindness and good cheer, she’d send her sunshine-bright smile in your direction.”

Rachel Wilkinson, English teacher
