Sparks Elementary School is a Nationally Recognized Blue Ribbon School. Sparks is a fully inclusive school, serving students in kindergarten through grade five. Our dynamic faculty and staff provide a rigorous and stimulating instructional program for over 500 students in twenty-four classes. Based upon the Voluntary State Curriculum and BCPS curriculum, units of study and individual lessons are developed and differentiated to meet the needs of all students.Supported by actively involved parents and community businesses, Sparks is able to provide many additional programs for our boys and girls. As a Green School, and with a nature trail and outdoor classroom, environmental programs are offered during the school day as well as after school and during the summer. Technology is integrated throughout the curriculum, utilizing our computer lab and our new portable computer lab. Our partnership with the Hunt Valley Rotary Club provides the basis for our character education program using The Four Way Test.
