Owings Mills High School is a comprehensive public high school located in the northwest section of Baltimore County. As an ELL center high school, it is noted for its diverse population. Thirty two (32) clubs/organizations, 7 honor societies and 30 sports teams keep students active in extra-curricular activities.
Owings Mills High School has been recognized for the past five years for being in the top 7% of public high schools in the nation for students taking AP courses and exams. Students have access to a curriculum which offers courses at the GT, honors and standard levels, as well as special education programs. AVID, a pre-college prep course is part of the curriculum. Upper classmen who want to start on college coursework can enroll in the Parallel Enrollment Program. Ninth grade students have the opportunity to qualify via the PSAT for the Diploma to Degree Program. This program is for students who want to graduate from high school having simultaneously earned an Associate of Arts Degree in General Studies from the Community College of Baltimore County. A work-study program prepares students for the world of work through internships and on-the-job training.
