The Crossroads Center is an alternative program providing educational and social/emotional support services to students in grades 7-10. Students at the Crossroads Center are at “a crossroad” in their educational process and personal lives. The mission of the program is to build the self-discipline, coping mechanisms, and academic skills students need by providing educational and support services necessary to enable each learner to maximize his or her potential as a 21st century learner. Students enroll for a full day, one academic year program and complete the standard grade-level core curriculum while working within a smaller learning community. As students work through our program, they will make decisions and realize how decisions affect their lives and ultimately shape their future.
Through an experiential learning approach the Crossroads Center program supports the goals, performance indicators, and key strategies of the Blueprint for Progress while incorporating alternative approaches to meet the needs of each student with the goal of ensuring high school graduation and productive citizenship.
