Western School of Technology and Environmental Science is a comprehensive magnet high school in the southwest area of Baltimore County. Our aim is to ensure success in pursuing a career goal and/or higher education through hands-on experience in student-selected areas of concentration. The programs offered at Western Tech are: Automotive Service Technology, Cosmetology, Culinary Arts and Restaurant Management, Environmental Science, Environmental Technology, Graphic/Print Technology, Health Sciences Technology, Business Management and Finance, Information Technology, and Mechanical Construction/Plumbing. The Career and Technology Education programs meet both state and national certification guidelines and are intended to provide students with multiple options upon completing high school, including college or university, community college, technical schools, and/or the work force. The Environmental Science program is intended for science oriented students and/or environmentally motivated students who plan to attend college or university immediately after high school.
