Welcome to Sparrows Point Middle School, where we honor every student. Situated on the Edgemere peninsula and on the scenic Back River, Sparrows Point Middle School is unique in that it is the only comprehensive middle school /high school facility in Baltimore County.We offer the traditional comprehensive middle school program, consisting of Math, Science, Reading, Social Studies, Language Arts, Art, Band, Chorus, and Physical Education. Additionally, we offer Spanish and Algebra for high school credit, a full Gifted and Talented Program. Students who receive special education services are fully included. SPMS offers an extensive list of enrichment activities including Math and Reading tutoring, a variety of after school activities (chess club, athletic intramurals, GT Art, Student Government Association, instrumental lessons, an award-winning vocal ensemble, Future Educators Association, Shakespeare Club, SADD, a student run Newspaper, Quiz Bowl and a Literary Magazine). The school also has a comprehensive middle/high school library with computer access to the internet throughout the entire school.
