Stemmers Run Middle School serves the Essex Community of Baltimore County. We are located in the Northeast Area and we are a comprehensive middle school, serving students and their families in grades six through eight.
Stemmers Run Middle has a proud history of steadily rising student achievement and increased parental involvement. We were honored by The Southern Regional Education Board as most improved middle school in 2002. Over the last ten years, Stemmers Run Middle has consistently earned Exemplary or Banner status as a PBIS school. Our emphasis on high expectations for student achievement, on rigorous and focused instruction, and on building strong relationships has resulted in a school that is setting the pace for school improvement.
