Chamber of Commerce Merit Scholarships
The Baltimore County Chamber of Commerce offers scholarships for CCBC, Towson University, and UMBC. For CCBC, it includes tuition and fees for two years. For Towson and UMBC, it is worth $15000 over four years. Students must have at least a 3.5 GPA. If attending Towson or UMBC, students must have a combined SAT score of 2000 (with a minimum for reading and math of 1360) or an ACT score of 30 or better. Scholarships for CCBC are available in the Sollers counseling conference room. CCBC Merit Scholarship application deadline is March 13, 2009. Students interested in the Towson and UMBC Merit Scholarship applications can e-mail Towson or UMBC. To be eligible, admission applications must be sent to either school before Dec. 1, 2008.
Rays of Hope Scholarship
Attention, African American male seniors: this scholarship could provide $1000 to you if you will attend either a 2- or 4-year college in the Fall of 2009. You must have at least a 3.0 GPA. Scholarship applications may be downloaded at the Black Professional Men's website. Applications must be postmarked by December 1, 2008. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.
