SIXTY-FOUR FHS STUDENTS EARN AP SCHOLAR AWARDS

The College Board’s Advanced Placement Program © (AP©) provides motivated and academically prepared students with the opportunity to take rigorous college-level courses while still in high school, and to earn college credit, advanced placement, or both for successful performance on the AP Exams. About 18 percent of the 1.6 million students worldwide who took AP Exams performed at a sufficiently high level to also earn an AP Scholar Award. While we are proud of being listed in the “Top 5% of the Nation’s High Schools” by Newsweek Magazine for our Advanced Placement program, we are just as proud of our ability to offer a rigorous instructional program that emphasizes successful academic achievement for all students.  Our ongoing successes on functional tests, HSA exams, and SAT exams attest to the fact that our students take their studies seriously and benefit from “the Franklin Way."
