Your PTA at Work

Do you know what the Halethorpe PTA does?  Would you like to become a member or a volunteer?  Below is a listing, some with links, of various activities that your PTA has sponsored.

If you are interested in supporting by membership, please see the section below.  If you are interested in volunteers, please attend a monthly meeting or see the volunteer section to the right.

PTA Membership

Halethorpe Elementary School has an active and dedicated Parent-Teacher Association. The PTA’s mission is to create a bridge between the school and home, as well as to secure supplies for the school that are not provided by the school’s budget.

We are encouraging that every parent become a member of the PTA.  The cost for a year's membership is $5.00 per person/family.  If you have not joined and wish to do so, please send a note and the $5 fee with your child to school in an envelope labeled for the PTA.

Money raised by the PTA is used to support the efforts of the school, to pay for agenda books for the students, to pay for computer supplies, and to organize special events for the school.  To raise money, the PTA has been responsible for organizing Family Fun Nights, Burger King Nights, Cactus Willie’s Nights and a variety of other sponsored events.

For further information about Halethorpe’s PTA please contact the school at 410-887-1406.
