Department of Information Technology
Technology Support Services

Our school system's emerging technology requires strong Technology Support Services (TSS).  Technology, education, and support are our focus.  Striving to answer the technology needs of over 120,000 students and staff in a reliable, timely and efficient manner, we continue to evaluate our clients' requirements to provide the best possible solutions.  To accomplish this, we draw upon experience, research, teamwork, innovative support methods, and our relationship with our customers.

A dedicated Help desk, as well as technicians from both BCPS and our partner vendor, supports teachers, students, and office administrative staff.  In addition, TSS has a small group of highly skilled analysts that provide support to DoIT, and a repair shop that services all technology equipment at BCPS.  TSS establishes quality relationships with all of our customers in Baltimore County so that we can provide the highest level of service by understanding their needs.

TSS also provides training and technical expertise to BCPS administrative personnel and the Board of Education members to assure the effective utilization of all areas of technology.

Additionally, TSS supports the Department of Information Technology by managing special projects that demonstrate the best practices in the use of technology within our school system and brings emerging technologies to the classroom.
One of the major special projects performed by this office is the support and rollout of devices within the Students and Teachers Accessing Tomorrow (S.T.A.T.) initiative.  TSS is responsible for the setup, delivery, and installation of devices to support student and teacher learning initiatives at our schools.  TSS works diligently to ensure access to the necessary equipment to support this initiative at BCPS schools.

Our commitment is to provide the highest quality service in the management and promotion of current information technologies and best practices as they relate to the Board of Education, students, school district personnel, and the Baltimore County Public Schools system.

If you are experiencing any technical difficulties, please contact the Department of Technology Help Desk at 443-809-4672. Someone will be assigned to your call as soon as possible
