Frequently Asked Questions
Nurses
- What services could the nurse bill for? The nurse
should submit only related services data. The nurse can
not be a case manager.
- What happened to nursing services? I thought
we could bill for medication administration? Due to
a change in medical assistance regulations, medication administration
is no longer a billable service. This change occurred July
1, 1997.
- As a nurse, when would I be able to submit encounter
data for related services? As a nurse, you can only
bill for services that are outlined for nurse's services
