The Office of Pupil Personnel Services provides direct services and case management to students who are experiencing academic, behavioral, emotional, physical, and social difficulties, as well as their families. Pupil personnel workers act as the liaison between the home, school, other Student Support Services personnel, and the community to coordinate services to families to promote student success. Pupil personnel workers and residency assistants work together to resolve residency issues.
As a site-based service, School Social Work Services provides professional mental health services to children and families through individual, family, and group counseling. School social workers are committed to providing advocacy on behalf of students so as to provide impetus for change to both promote a positive school experience and healthy psychosocial development for students. Regular and intensive interventions are provided to parents and families with the ultimate goal of promoting school success for all students.
The Office of Pupil Personnel Services provides educational support to homeless students and their families ensuring that services are provided as outlined under the McKinney Homeless Education Act to ensure continuity in education.
