Individuals with Disabilities Education Act ( IDEA)
This is the federal government's website with information concerning IDEA. This site was created to provide a "one-stop shop" for resources related to IDEA and its implementing regulations. Released on August 3, 2006.
 
National Disseminations Center for Children with Disabilities (NICHCY)
NICHCY is a central source of information on disabilities in infants, toddlers, children and youth. IDEA; No Child Left Behind (as it relates to children with disabilities); and research-based information of effective educational practices.
 
Council for Exceptional Children (CEC)
The CEC is the largest international professional organization dedicated to improving educational outcomes for individuals with exceptionalities, students with disabilities, and/or the gifted.
 
Learning Disabilities Association of America (LDA)
Since 1963, LDA has provided support to people with learning disabilities, their parents, teachers and other professionals. At the national, state and local levels, LDA provides cutting edge information on learning disabilities, practical solutions, and a comprehensive network of resources.
