Disability Awareness Program

 

The purpose of the Disability Awareness Program is to promote disability awareness and acceptance in the classroom and school community.

 

Support Services

  • Provide information, training, activities, and resources identified under IDEA

  • Collaborate with staff to develop and present disability awareness training

  • Assist schools in developing a knowledge base and/or instructional program for a student with a disability who may be new to the building

  • Provide information for successful communication between schools and families of students with disabilities
