Essential Question:
Why are SAV and wetlands an important component of a healthy estuary?
Students will investigate
biotic and abiotic factors of wetlands or SAV to determine their
role in the health of the Chesapeake Bay.
Students will collect
data on water quality
using digital and manual data acquisition
tools.
There is a $3.00/student
facility use fee for
either location.

13. Students will be able to apply knowledge
of abiotic and biotic components of an ecosystem to explain the
interrelationships within the biosphere. (LG-3.5)
14. Students will be able
to apply environmental principles to analyze the historical, physical,
chemical, and biological aspects of the Chesapeake Bay watershed.
