• Dress yourself and your child appropriately for the weather. The field study will most likely continue in the event of inclement weather.
• Turn your cell phone off or, if not possible, on vibrate mode during instruction.
• Allow students to answer questions asked by the teacher-naturalists.
• Smoking is not allowed.
• Keep talking to a minimum so as to not interfere with instruction.
• If the field study allows for it, bring lunch for yourself and your child.
• Bring plenty of water.
• Use sunscreen.
• Check for ticks when you return home. If possible, wear light colored clothing to better check for ticks.
