Dundee Creek

Dundee Creek Marina is located in Chase in eastern Baltimore County. The Marina is located on Dundee Creek, which is at the mouth of the Gunpowder River. The Marina is part of the Gunpowder Falls State Park which encompasses nearly 18,000 acres in both Baltimore and Harford Counties. The State Park was established to protect the stream valleys of the Big and Little Gunpowder Falls and the Gunpowder River, which begins at Days Cove where the Big and Little Gunpowders converge. Dundee Creek and the surrounding forest is a vibrant ecological niche which teems with a variety of wildlife. The creek itself is a healthy waterway which retains much submerged aquatic vegetation (S.A.V.) and acts as a nursery for young fish and molting crabs. B.C.P.S. is lucky enough to act in conjunction with Maryland’s Department of Natural Resources to offer secondary students educational programming related to S.A.V.s and wetland ecology.
