| How to Use SIRS Discoverer (a periodical database) |

The SIRS Discover is one of the
fee-based databases available for free to Baltimore County Public School
students and their families. It provides access to magazine, newspaper,
and other articles, in other words it is a periodical database.
Periodicals are newspapers, magazines, and other publications that come
on a periodic basis. They are great when you need information that is
up-to-date. To use SIRS Discoverer, you temporarily leave eLabsInc. Read all the
following directions before you begin. 1. Access SIRS Discoverer. 2. Enter bcps for the username. Enter the password supplied by your school librarian and click the Login button.
3. Type your search term into the search field and click the Search button.
4. Click any article that interests you to open it. 5. When you are finished using the SIRS Discoverer, click the BACK button in your browser until you return to eLabsInc. |
