Position Content Questionnaire
Instructions
The Position Content Questionnaire (PCQ) is used
to request the classification review of an occupied position.
The PCQ is a multi-part form which collects information about a position from the incumbent employee, his or her immediate supervisor, departmental manager, and executive director.
This information is used by the Office of Personnel Services in its classification determination.
To request a classification review of their positions, employees should complete Part I of the PCQ and submit it to their immediate supervisors. It is important to complete the questionnaire as instructed and to provide accurate and concise information regarding the position.
Instructions
The Vacancy Reclassification Form (VRF) is used to
request that a vacant position be assigned to a different
class.
To initiate such a request, an office head and executive director complete Part I of the form. This includes space for them to explain and justify the request. The executive director then submits the form, along with a current organizational chart that shows the position to be changed, to the Classification Section of the Office of Personnel Services.
The Office of Personnel Services reviews and coordinates the review of the request. Upon the completion of the review, the executive director of the department that made the request is notified of the results.
Questions regarding the Position Content Questionnaire and Reclassification Form should be directed to the Classification Section of the Office of Personnel Services at (410) 887-8938.
