- Employee Assistance Program -- individual counseling
and referral; free and confidential service for employees and
their families
- Curriculum Workshops -- instructional support for subject
areas and grade levels held periodically
- Mentoring Program -- county-wide mentoring for support,
guidance, and professional growth
- Peer Facilitators/Coaches -- school based support in
instruction, management, and planning
- New Teacher Support Inservice Course -- taught by teachers
and mentors in each geographic area for all levels of instruction;
designed to support new teachers on a weekly basis for the first
semester and monthly for the remainder of the year
- Resource Centers -- located in areas throughout the county
where staff are given assistance in making instructional materials
- Professional Library -- assistance with course work and
committee work; access to research on teaching strategies; print,
nonprint, and electronic resources available
- Professional Development Workshops -- training and support
on current issues for educators
- Staff Development-- continuing education opportunities
to maintain excellence in practice
- School-Based Leadership Team -- serves as a direct link
to new personnel; offers regular meetings to provide management
techniques, instructional assistance, and support
- Coordinators, Supervisors, and Specialists in the Departments
for Curriculum and Instruction and Student Services -- provide
orientation, initiatives, support and consultation, mentoring
in specific disciplines
