Mission Statement
As we focus on quality and commitment to excellence, the Office of
Certification’s mission is to ensure that certificated staff
achieve and maintain professional certification to reflect their “highly
qualified” status in educating the children of Baltimore County
Public Schools.
The Office of Certification is an essential component in supporting
the efforts of the professional staff in achieving and maintaining
their Maryland certificates. Staff members serve as professional
growth advisors and liaisons to the Maryland State Department of
Education.
From time to time, Maryland’s certification regulations are
revised. Every effort is made to provide current information on
this BCPS website.
