Technology Program
Overview of the Program
The technology training programs are focused on improving
skills for new and experienced employees to enhance their
performance in achieving the systemwide goals as stated
in the Blueprint for Progress. The technology program
supports all employee groups in their use of technology.
The effective use of technology is essential in order to
prepare students to meet the requirements of a technologically
oriented society and to meet the data access needs of staff
members.
Technology workshops and inservice courses are
available to all Baltimore County Public School employees.
Workshop and inservice topics include: Fundamental Computer
Skills, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, FileMaker
Pro, BCPS Outlook Email, Outlook Calendar, Advantage Financial
3.6, TestTrax, Cognos, DataTrax, and MetaViewer. Workshops
and inservice courses are offered during the workday and
after school.
