BCPS employees are paid biweekly and there are two payroll calendars. One payroll calendar is for teachers, exempt administrative, executive and professional employees, nurses, clerical and classified employees, paraeducators, and substitute teachers. Substitute teachers are hourly employees who are paid two weeks in arrears on the same day as teachers. The second payroll calendar is for non-exempt hourly employees, including maintenance, custodial, grounds, food services, dispatchers, bus drivers and attendants, and paid helpers.

Summer Payroll Calendar
The Office of Payroll develops a separate Summer Payroll Calendar for use following the close of school and prior to 10-month employees returning to work at the beginning of the next school year.
