21st Century Digital-Age Learning
This program offers students an opportunity to use technology as they develop skills in locating, evaluating and using information effectively; understanding current technology, how it works, and how it can be used effectively to achieve learning goals; and how to interpret, use, appreciate, and create visual images and videos using digital media. Students participate in hands-on, problem-based learning activities while exploring a variety of multicultural, economic, and scientific topics. As a result, students gain an understanding and appreciation of the similarities and differences in the customs, values, and beliefs of their own culture and the cultures of others. Students develop global awareness by recognizing interrelationships among nations, socio-cultural groups, and individuals across the globe. In addition, they learn to identify economic problems, collect and organize economic evidence to weigh costs and benefits, and examine the consequences of changes in economic conditions. Students also learn scientific concepts and gain the ability to describe, explain and predict natural phenomena.
